Due to a recent retirement, we are seeking an enthusiastic hands-on
**Trade Assistant/Labourer **who is energetic and enjoys working as part of a team with a key focus on safety. Working onsite at our Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo Fleetwood Site VIC.

**About the role**
As a Trades Assistant / Labourer you will work alongside our trades and construction personnel to provide on the job assistance and perform a range of manual Labouring tasks.

This role is a stepping stone to begin a career in building & construction. Fleetwood offer opportunities for training, development and career growth. Working Monday to Friday on a Full Time 38-hour week, with hours from 6:30am to 3:00pm early finish.

**About the Role**:
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Provide assistance to trade workers and Labourers to perform their duties.
- Perform manual tasks associated with general Labouring. Spray painting, material handling, sawing and cutting.
- General Labouring duties as required.
- Carrying out tasks from basic plans, sketches and drawings.
- Supplying of materials to trade staff and subcontractors.
- Packing of materials and equipment for transport as required.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed by supervisors.
- Fixing components and parts and simple rectification works.
- Work as part of a team and follow precise directions from trade staff and site supervisors.
- Work in various departments as required.
- Follow HSEQ Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Inwards and outwards stock control.
- Completion of some clerical tasks.

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

- Previous experience in a similar role desired as a Labourer/Trade Assistant.
- Experience using various hand tools and electric tools desired.
- Strong focus on Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
- Willingness to learn, work hard, grow and develop in the role.
- An understanding of the building or manufacturing industry desired.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a robust and fast paced environment.
- Can work as part of a team and independently.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work under cover and in open air environments.
- Great problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to learn and develop skillset.

**You must posses**:

- A current valid Victorian driver’s license
- Current construction induction card (white card)
- Forklift license (required)
