**Where you'll be working**
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. **What you'll be doing**
- To work as primary role in Centralised equipment Loan pool to provide specialised equipment management and maintenance for Inpatient wards of Blacktown Hospital.
- To provide assistance and support to the Allied Health (AH) team in the delivery of an efficient and high quality service to patients and clients of WSLHD, under the supervision of the treating AH professional when part of the allied health assistant rotational team.

**How to Apply**

**Selection Criteria**
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance/relevant qualification or willingness to undertake this training includes willingness to undertake additional discipline competencies.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a health environment and and ability to work as a contributing member of the a health team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload within delegated tasks, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice, seeking assistance as required.
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles and how it applies to the duties of the position, including manual handling risk assessment and implementation of techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work with disabled and or aged client’s in a service or professional care giving capacity, in a positive manner enhancing the client’s ability to achieve positive outcomes and personal goals.
- NSW Drivers licence.
