- ECH are seeking a Data Analyst who is experienced and passionate about data insights, which will drive business decisions, develop strategies, and improve operational performance.**The role**
- As part of the Data and Business Intelligence team, the Data Analyst role helps turn data into insights that drive business actions, shape strategy, enhance operational performance and achieve strategic goals. The Data Analysts works collaboratively with all data stakeholders to ensure a consistent, coherent and integrated way of managing and reporting data assets, while meeting contractual and legislative obligations within required deadlines.**What you’ll be doing**
As a Data Analyst you will:
- Evaluate and synthesise various sources of data, from internal, external and cloud, to identify patterns and insights that can enhance the organisation's strategic plan and operational performance.
- Conduct research and benchmarking on best practices and emerging trends in data analysis and reporting.
- Using PowerBi and other tools, design and update dashboards, reports, and visualizations that convey key insights and trends to stakeholders. Ensuring that the data is accurate, relevant, and easy to understand.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and address data needs and gaps.
- Partner with and support teams to enhance the quality and efficiency of data collection and processing by detecting, reporting and developing areas for improvement.
- Provide advice and support relating to data management. Develop and maintaining data dictionaries.
- Provide training and guidance to data users on how to access and use data effectively.
- Comply with contractual and legal requirements by reporting data in a timely manner.
- Interpreting complex data sets and providing recommendations to guide reporting against the organisation’s strategic plan and operational performance.
- Participating in business projects that require data analytics, data migration and solutions

**Who we’re looking for**
Someone who:
- Has practical experience in a service industry, within a data management and data quality environment
- Is proficient in using various data analysis tools and languages, such as Power BI, Excel, DAX, Power Query, and SQL etc
- Has experience in working with different types of data sources and formats, such as relational databases, JSON, XML, CSV, etc.
- Has proven experience in establishing business needs and defining new data models that can used by other users
- Understanding of cloud data infrastructures like Azure, Snowflake
- Understanding of ETL framework or pipeline is desirable but not essential
- Ability to interpret data into meaningful insights and has research skills
- Is attentive to details and can find solutions to challenges
- Has strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate, consult and influence
- Can work in a team or independently
- Has a genuine commitment to helping older ageing people retain their independence so they can remain at home in the community

**You will need**:
- A current Police Check or DCSI
- Covid-19 Vaccination (including booster)
**It’d also be helpful if you had**:
- Degree in mathematics, statistics, computing, economics or equivalent industry experience
- Previous experience in data modelling
- Relevant data analysis certifications
