The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Pricing Analyst to provide a critical role in the Offender Services and Reintegration Division.

**About the Business Unit**

The Offender Services and Reintegration division of Corrections Victoria (CV) is responsible for providing best practice interventions which aim to reduce the risk of reoffending including case management, education, training and employment, prison industries and rehabilitation and reintegration supports.

Prison Industries operates over 65 individual industries across 13 sites to provide people in prison with a variety of employment, training and learning opportunities, while also aiming to deliver value for the public through goods and services provided to both private customers and internal customers - both prisons and government.

**About the Role**

As the Pricing Analyst you will be responsible for monitoring profitability of current and proposed activities and providing accurate key Oracle inputs, pricing and strategic advice across all Prison Industries product categories or service activities.

Some of your duties will include:

- Provide leadership and authoritative advice across Prison Industries on the utilisation of all systems and processes in place, contribute to the design of new systems and reporting as required, along with enabling the use of data analysis for sound business decisions to be made
- Ensure accurate Oracle data inputs, especially via timely updates to Bills of Materials (BOM's).
- Analyse cost & pricing data - working closely with others in the Head Office team, identify and implement a number of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyse pricing, assess margins, monitor costs, and monitor customer engagement in order to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies.
- Contribute to Pricing and Marketing Strategies - work closely with the Commercial Manager, Systems & Operations Manager, Management Accountant and portfolio managers to develop tools and implement competitive pricing strategies.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated commercial analytical experience working directly with customer facing departments, preferably market intelligence and pricing/cost estimating.
- Ability to handle high levels of ambiguity and complexity in a business undergoing significant growth and transformation and operating within a Matrix management environment
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with information technology systems including Microsoft Suite and Oracle
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is preferred
- Proficiency in Oracle (SAP or similar) is preferred

**Qualifications**

An appropriate tertiary qualification in Financial Analysis, Accounting, or Commerce along with demonstrated data analysis experience is desirable.
