**The role**
The Tribology Business Stream in
**Canning Vale** is seeking an afternoon shift
**Laboratory Technician** to join our valued team.

Your role involves the analysis of oil, coolant, fuel and grease samples in our state-of-the-art NATA-accredited oil analysis laboratory.

The role will require you to work as part of a busy laboratory team from
**Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 11 pm.**

**The day to day**
- Labelling and unpacking samples
- Sample registration
- Routine sample testing, including
- ICP-OES
- FTIR
- Viscosity
- Particle Counting
- Colour analysis
- Acid-base titrations
- Karl Fischer Titrations
- Basic equipment calibration
- Work as part of a team comprised of laboratory technicians, technical support staff and leadership
- Perform housekeeping duties as required
- Work to safety guidelines according to policies and procedures
- Ability to move and lift racks and boxes in the 5-10kg range

**The essentials**
To be successful in this role, you will:

- Be a team player who enjoys working within a group environment
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under reasonable pressure
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have great attention to detail
- Be willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required
- Previous experience using a LIMS would be desirable but not essential
- Cert IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or similar is advantageous
