**The role**
The Tribology Business Stream in Canning Vale is seeking Laboratory Technicians to join our valued team. Your role involves the analysis of oil, coolant, fuel and grease samples in our state of the art NATA accredited oil analysis laboratory. The role will require you to work as part of a busy laboratory team from Monday to Friday, on our afternoon shift approximately 3.00am to 10.00pm.

**The day to day**
- Labelling and unpacking samples
- Sample registration
- Routine sample testing including
- ICP-OES
- FTIR
- Viscosity
- Particle Counting
- Colour analysis
- Acid base titrations
- Karl Fischer Titrations
- Basic equipment calibration
- Work as part of a team comprised of laboratory technicians, technical support staff and leadership
- Perform housekeeping duties as required
- Work to safety guidelines according to policies and procedures
- Ability to move and lift racks and boxes in the 5-10kg range

**The essentials**
- Be a team player who enjoys working within a group environment
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under reasonable pressure
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have great attention to detail
- Be willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required
- Previous experience using a LIMS would be desirable but not essential
- Cert IV or diploma in Laboratory Techniques or similar is advantageous
