**About the applicant (you)**

We are looking for an applicant for an entry level position for the NSW mining industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a young graduate and/or highly motivated individual who wants to learn new skills and be a part of a small, dynamic team that provides quality services to our clients.

The role could be suited to a broad range of people from varying backgrounds, wanting to learn and progress will be a key element of this position.

The role involves the use of radioactive substances for geophysical logging, a NSW radiation licence would be desirable but not necessary as full training will be given.
- Be well presented and professional
- Be well versed for communication with clients face to face as well as having good written skills
- Be well organised and disciplined with housekeeping, keeping our equipment clean and tidy at all times
- Be physically fit as the role involves manual handling of geophysical logging tools in a field environment regularly
- Be computer literate and have exposure to basic programs such as the MS Office suite, training will be provided on other software platforms associated with the position
- Be eager to learn and develop your skills in a new working environment
- Be able to work as part of a team and also alone once training has been completed
- Be willing to travel for work, sometimes for extended periods of time
- Be able to follow instruction for your Supervisor and/or Manager
- Having had exposure to 4WD vehicle operation is desired
- Having a mechanical and/or electrical knowledge is desirable

**Applicants must have the following;**
- Be able to pass pre-employment medical and on-going medicals for work within the NSW mining industry
- Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Be able to pass daily in-house and onsite alcohol screening
- Manual driving licence (unrestricted), LR or MR licence preferred but not essential initially
- You must have the right to work and live in Australia, this role is for Australian residents or citizens only

**What Groundsearch Australia is offering;**

This role is based at our centre of operations in Rutherford, NSW. We offer a 5 day working week which gives a good work/lifestyle balance (some weekend work may be required).

Groundsearch will provide initial and on-going training and support, this will include;
- Vehicle operation
- Radiation licence training
- Use of specialised tools and software
- Basic mechanical and electrical maintenance

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
