**The Opportunity**
Maribyrnong Libraries is seeking a dynamic and experienced Children's and Youth Services Librarian to join the team, based at West Footscray Library and delivering programs across the branches.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop, plan and deliver high quality and effective children's and young adult programs
- Develop and maintain responsive children's and young adult collections
- Contribute to the provision of an effective and efficient library and information service
- Provide excellent customer experiences, including the provision of digital support, information and reference services
- Contribute to all library branches being vibrant, inclusive and welcoming spaces for all.

**About You**
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- A pro-active and positive approach in providing people focussed "customers first" outcomes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Appropriate liaison and community engagement skills particularly with children and youth of all ages and abilities; and those people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Proven liaison and communication skills which foster and maintain positive relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Adaptability in a dynamic work environment
- Demonstrated digital literacy skills
- Current Working with Children check and Drivers Licence.
- A degree in library and information management or related qualification or relevant experience
