Safety Administrator

We currently require an experienced Safety Administrator to join the Shaft Sinking Division at RUC Cementation. The Roster will consist of 5 shifts on and 2 shifts off (days shift only), based at our Appin on site facility located in Menangle, New South Wales.

**Core responsibilities**:

- Maintain the training database (RUCview).
- Maintain the safety database (myOSH)
- Review tickets, licences and qualifications ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded, maintained and up to date.
- Maintain the Hazard and Corrective Actions registers.
- Maintain the safety equipment registers (self rescuers, ladders, gas detectors, lifting & working at heights equipment, fire fighting equipment, etc)
- Create safety alerts and corrective actions as requested.
- Assist with site inductions for new staff where required.
- Assist in promoting and implementing a safety-first culture that supports continuous OHS improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Formal qualifications - Certificate IV in WHS (highly regarded, however, not essential)
- Formal Qualifications - certificate IV in training and assessment ((highly regarded, however, not essential)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with similar online systems (INX etc)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, learn concepts and systems quickly.
- Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision as well as part of a team with a demonstrated ability to manage one’s own time.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Exercise tact, discretion and maintain confidentiality.
