Applications are invited for the permanent position of Head of Sport for Campbelltown Anglican Schools
(CAS).

Campbelltown Anglican Schools Council delivers Christian Education to 1,800 students from the
Macarthur community through St Peter’s Anglican Grammar, St Peter’s Heart, and Broughton Anglican
College.

Position / Duties Description

**Responsible to**: Head of Education Operations

**Direct Reports**: Sports Administrator(s), Sports Coordinators for St. Peter’s/St. Peter’s Heart, Broughton
Senior School and Broughton Junior School, Head of Outdoor Education

**Effective Date: Commencement of the 2025 Academic Year**

**Main Objective**:
CST Mhea Hneaagde orsf Sport is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of all

sports programs across Campbelltown Anglican Schools. This includes fostering a culture of excellence
in physical education and sports, promoting student engagement, and ensuring the delivery of high
- quality sporting events and programs in line with the school’s Christian mission and values.

**FTE**:Full-Time (1.0 FTE). 38 hours per week

**Salary**:Negotiable

Duties include:

- Professionally representing CAS in personal presentation, mannerisms and Christ-like service
- Operating with a high and consistent standard of service
- Working within the CAS framework at all times
- Participating in the Christian Life of Broughton and St Peters and participating in the wider life of the

Campbelltown Anglican Schools

**Strategic Leadership**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive sports strategy across CAS to increase participation and
- promote excellence.
- Lead the alignment of sports programs with the school’s mission and values, including Christian
- leadership and character development.
- Establish long-term goals for sports at CAS, including facilities improvement, inter-school sports

participation, and talent identification

**Management and Coordination**:

- Supervise and support the Sports leaders for each campus to ensure the smooth execution of
- programs.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of major sporting events (e.g., swimming carnivals, cross country,
- athletics).
- Manage and support the sports administrators responsible for organising logistics, transport, and

communication.

**Program Development and Innovation**:

- Lead the development of new sports initiatives, including innovative programs to engage students
- and enhance skill development.
- Collaborate with external sports organizations (IPSSO, CASA, and others) to broaden competitive

opportunities for students.

**Budget and Resource Management**:

- Manage the sports budget for each school and ensure resources are used effectively to achieve
- desired outcomes.
- Ensure appropriate allocation of equipment, facilities, and staffing for sports programs.

Duties include:
**Community Engagement**:

- Promote strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community to
- encourage participation in sports.
- Represent CAS in external sports associations and build partnerships with local sporting clubs.

**Staff Leadership and Development**:

- Recruit, train, and support coaches, teachers, and volunteers involved in school sports programs.
- Provide leadership development opportunities for staff in line with the school’s Christian ethos.

**Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Ensure all sporting activities comply with relevant policies, regulations, and risk management
- procedures.
- Oversee child protection and safety measures in all sports programs.

**Other**:
of CAS. There is an expectation that the Head of Sports will undertake other duties from time to
time as directed by the Executive Head.
