Regional Youth Support Services (RYSS) is seeking a passionate and culturally connected **Indigenous Justice Caseworker** to join our innovative and dedicated team.

**About the Role**

The **Indigenous Justice Program (IJP)** supports young Aboriginal people aged 16-18 who are:

- Exiting Frank Baxter Detention Centre
- On Juvenile Justice Orders
- At risk of offending or community disengagement

You’ll deliver **intensive case management**, **cultural connection**, **housing support**, and **life skills programs**, working both **in custody (pre-release)** and **in the community (post-release)**. This program is voluntary, strengths-based, and culturally safe.

**What You’ll Do**
- Provide 1:1 casework and support based on individual needs
- Facilitate cultural reconnection and community engagement
- Deliver living skills training and support young people in IJP housing
- Work closely with Youth Justice, Pacific Link Housing, and Aboriginal community agencies
- Assist in prevention activities and cultural group programs
- Maintain accurate case notes and reporting

**What You’ll Need**

Diploma-level qualification (Youth Work, Community Services or related)
Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal young people
Strong cultural understanding and ability to deliver culturally safe support
Excellent communication, admin, and case management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Current NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
