As an FP&A Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategies and ensuring continued success.**
Our client is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join their dynamic team in Melbourne. As the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis function, providing strategic insights, and driving financial performance. You will collaborate with senior executives, lead a talented team, and play a critical role in shaping business decisions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Financial Planning and Analysis**:
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models, budgeting processes, and long-term strategic plans.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to drive business performance and profitability.
- Conduct variance analysis and develop action plans to address deviations from targets.
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
**Strategic Decision Support**:
- Collaborate with senior executives in developing and evaluating strategic initiatives and investment opportunities.
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess the financial impact of different business strategies.
- Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
**Team Leadership and Collaboration**:
- Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering their professional growth.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the FP&A team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as operations, sales, and procurement to gather relevant data and align financial goals.
**Reporting and Presentations**:
- Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Deliver insightful presentations to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision-making.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends.
- Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve exceptional results.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
