Delivery Lead, Strategic Reporting

- Exciting opportunity to join Westpac Institutional Bank’s (WIB) Financial Markets Transformation Delivery Team
- Westpac Financial Markets is currently undertaking a transformation uplift to ensure that obligations to report derivative trades to global regulators are met. _This role is being created to strengthen an existing high performing team who drive and oversee the implementation of a third-party technology platform for derivative post trade reporting obligations. The role will require the ability to dive into the detail to deliver outcomes and results as well as oversee the activities of other Senior Business Analysts (not direct reports). _**How will I help?**

As a Delivery Lead, Strategic Reporting this role will see you responsible for:

- Leading the continued development and improvement of the third-party derivatives reporting platform and related processes and capabilities.
- Mentoring a team of Business Analysts to deliver tailored business solutions in support of a global front office program, either implementing new strategic solutions or as remediation response to uplift existing solutions.
- Facilitate requirements, gathering workshops and meetings to identify and understand business requirements.
- Documentation and prioritisation of requirements in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies where required.
- Act as conduit between various stakeholder groups to provide clarity and alignment of requirements.
- Chair working group and project committee meetings including the development of supporting material.
- Run daily stand ups to identify and mitigate risks and issues.
- Partner with project delivery teams including IT, Compliance and Risk to develop custom solutions for derivatives trade reporting; whilst balancing ‘off the shelf’ vendor solution requirements
- Managing the prioritisation of platform development items, working with stakeholders to understand the relative priority of different delivery items.
- Use project management methodologies to develop project plans and to provide input to project cost and resource estimation for deliverables.

**What do I need?**
- A deep understanding of G20 derivatives reporting regimes such as ASIC, MAS or CFTC.
- A strong understanding of financial markets products and processes, with a focus on derivative products, including detailed knowledge of at least one asset class.
- A strong understanding of how to drive business outcomes by utilising best in breed technology solutions.
- Knowledge of end to end project management disciplines
- Superior Data Management and analysis skills, highly skilled in the use of excel and managing and interpreting large amounts of sensitive data.
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Business or equivalent within financial services is key
- Experience of working in an Agile delivery environment using tools such as Confluence and JIRA
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across different levels of the business
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to describe complexity in simple terms
- Knowledge of project management disciplines and financial services
- Highly organised with an attention to detail
- Able to work well under pressure and can multi-task
