**THE ROLE**:
**Experienced Disability Support Worker**

**Contract Type**:Full-time contract

**Contract Hours**:Tuesday to Saturday Day 6:00am to 2:00pm (38hrs per week)

**Location**:Multiple locations in the surrounding areas of Northern Lake Macquarie and Newcastle.

**Remuneration**:Paid under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award (Home Care Employees).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide personal support to individuals with disabilities, tasks will include:

- Assistance with daily living tasks.
- Personal care and hygiene.
- Bowel, urinary and catheter care.
- Manual handling, transfers, hoisting.
- Assistance with medication.
- Community access.
- Assist with home exercise program.
- Light domestic tasks, meal preparation.
- Implement individualized support plans and goals in collaboration with the individual and their support team.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
- Foster positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Passionate about providing quality person centred support.
- Motivated with a great work ethic.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with individuals with disabilities.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Capability to access web-based App for roster and communications.
- Additional criteria:_
- NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC).
- National Police Check.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- NDIS Orientation Module.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Hold a current driver's licence and reliable transport for travel between participants.

**Salary**: $25.66 - $34.42 per hour
