Y- Not Supports are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and experienced staff to join our small team in providing positive, person-centered disability supports. We aim to look to empower our participants through their own choice and control, engagement within their goals and support them with upskilling to ensure they are at the centre of their supports.
Y-Not Supports look to assist those in Ballarat and the local areas with supports to ensure that we are able to provide services to those in need within our community.
Y- Not Support Works with a range of participants with different backgrounds and disabilities, so we look to ensure that we can match participants to support workers that will look to ensure that feel safe, supported and are able to create strong and effective working relationships.
**What we are seeking in a Support Worker**:
- People who are motivated and enjoy working and engaging with others
- People with good problem-solving skills and are able to think actively seek out and aim for solutions.
- Punctuality and relability.
- People who are willing to continue to learn, upskill and grow within the industry and seek out further qualifications.
- Quality ethical beliefs and standards that align with the NDIA provision of services and have a good moral compass.
- Phone and Computer skills necessary - ie: writing shift notes, using apps, etc.
- The ability to create strong, effective relationships and have strong communication skills.
- Somone able to follow company policy and procedures.

**What we require you to have/obtain**:
- Completion of NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’, and provision of a copy of the certificate of completion.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Current Police Check (Within 12 months)
- A current driver's license and car insurance
- Has a certificate III or IV in Disability Support (Or relevant qualification) or is currently undertaking study in this field.
**What we will require you to complete within your role**:
- Supporting People with their daily care requirements, this may include personal care, showering, medication management, continence support, etc.
- Assistance with daily tasks such as cleaning, meal preperation, household tasks and or supporting in planning.
- Assistance to support participants to access the community safely and in a way that meets their needs.
- Assisting participants in skill building activities such as learning to cook, public transport training, etc.
- Keeping and maintaining records in the form of shift notes, incident reporting, etc.
- Ensuring that the participant is being advocated for on their behalf and supporting and educating them to speak on their own behalf.
- Collaboration with the participant's wider care team to ensure their goals and needs are being met.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $25.41 - $52.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 30 per week

- High School (Year 9-11) (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Disability or relevant industry: 1 year (preferred)

- Driver Licence (preferred)
