Your Role

As a Telecommunications Technical Officer you will be responsible for optimisation and performance monitoring of telecommunications networks, diagnosis and repair of faults, and the selection and installation of equipment

Your responsibilities will include:

- Installing and maintaining WCDMAL/LTE/4G/NBN technology.
- Installation of Radio Base Stations, Terminating Hybriflex Cables & Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers & combiners.
- Installation of DC Power rack systems including rectifiers, batteries and load testing.
- Integration/Commissioning RBS onto network. PIM, VSWR and Sweep Testing.
- Troubleshooting, replacing defective equipment, fault finding and clearing, site investigations, and monitoring project development.
- Installation of microwave indoor unit and outdoor unit.
- Technical installs, testing and commissioning of Sites.
- Call testing of sites and uploading of all MITS paperwork for site completion.
- Testing and commissioning of Micro wave dishes, panning, alignment and full installs.
- 2-3 years' Structural Rigging experience, within the Telecommunication industry.
- Telstra, Vodafone, Optus 3G/4G experience will be highly regarded.
- Current Rigging/Dogging/EWP Tickets.
- Current Working at Heights / Tower Rescue Ticket; First Aid and CPR Licence
- Construction White Card.
- Full Manual Drivers Licence.
- Radhaz RF EME Awareness
- Rope Access Tickets (Desirable)
- Able to work away from home if required
- Eligible to work in Australia with no restrictions

**Skills**:

- Sound experience in understanding WHS requirements and responsibilities - including SWMS, MOP’s, JSA’s
- Proficient in the use of cranes and EWP’s. Identifying plant size and type applicable for any given task.
- Ability to work comfortably at heights of up to 200m using tools of the trade and correct rigging techniques.
- Awareness of OH&S requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
