As Quality Control 2IC you will be part of an experienced and dedicated quality team and will report directly to the Quality Team Leader. You will be required to assist with the day to day planning, set up and supervision of the Quality Control function. You will also assist with monitoring individual, team members; quality control assessment and reporting on product and process non-conformances to ensure delivery deadlines are met and product is packed in accordance to both customer and internal specifications.

**Some of the tasks involved are -**
- Assist with ensuring product is inspected and assessed in accordance with customer and internal specifications in a timely manner in order to ensure daily and weekly order requirements are met
- Assist with ensuring accurate creation of shipping labels, tickets and labels from the Freshpac system in order to meet customer requirements and ensure product traceability is maintained
- Assist with allocating of work and overseeing the work of the Quality Team, equipment and the immediate environment for potential food safety or quality issues.
- Assist with ensuring any issues that pose a risk to the Food Safety and Quality Management System are actioned and reported as required, to relevant personnel
- Assist as required and follow up on any corrective actions that may arise as a result of any internal investigations.

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Significant experience in a quality position within food processing environment
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience in following and understanding systems and procedures
- The ability to accept responsibility
