Cleaning 2IC

About the role

Ready Bake Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning 2IC to join our team in our Virginia, QLD 4014 facility. As Cleaning 2IC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across our state-of-the-art production facility. This full-time position will see you work alongside our Cleaning Team Leader, providing support and leadership to the wider cleaning team.

What you'll be doing

1.     Assisting the Cleaning Team Leader in managing and overseeing the cleaning operations

2.     Coordinating the cleaning schedules and tasks for the team

3.     Providing on-the-job training and mentoring to cleaning personnel

4.     Provide leadership and guidance to the team.

5.     Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets our high standards

6.     Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes

7.     Maintaining detailed records and reporting on cleaning activities

8.     Adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedure

9.     Using high pressure washers, hoses, and chemicals to clean food processing areas, equipment and staff amenity facilities.

10.  Moving, assembly and disassembly of equipment for chemical cleaning and production line setup.

11.  Working a night shift.

What we're looking for

1.     At least 2 years' experience in a similar Cleaning 2IC or Supervisor role, ideally within the food manufacturing or production industry

2.     Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness

3.     Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team

4.     Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines

5.     Knowledge of cleaning methods, techniques and equipment

6.     Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a production environment

7.     A positive, proactive and collaborative approach to your work
