**About us**:
KOOKI is a support service who aim to help people embrace the things that set them apart from everyone else. KOOKI’s clientele encompasses a range of people that present with varied disabilities and/or diagnoses, and come from a variety of different social, economic, cultural and demographic backgrounds. We aim to support KOOKI clients in achieving their goals and improve their quality of life. Many of KOOKI clients who access our services may also be accessing allied health services such as occupational therapy, speech pathology, behaviour & psychology supports. We strive to provide supports whilst working alongside any relevant clinicians to consolidate the skills they are developing during individual therapy (i.e. speech therapy, occupational therapy and psychological supports) and work on generalising it in a community and home setting.

**Our support services focus on key areas of development, including**:

- Communication and social skills
- Play and emotional regulation
- Functional life skills
- In-home support and home maintenance
- Activities of daily living
- Community access and engagement

**About You**:

- A positive and uplifting personality
- Sensitivity, empathy, and the ability to work compassionately with participants
- Ability to effectively work with children and adults, including individuals with disabilities and those without
- The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team when needed
- Strong collaboration skills, especially when working with a multidisciplinary team
- A strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality support

**Essential criteria**:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems
- 100 points of ID
- A valid Driver's License (minimum P1)
- Access to a registered and reliable vehicle with minimum third party insurance or willingness to obtain
