About the role
The opportunity
Based at our Sunshine office, we have three, fixed term, 12 month positions in the following areas;
- Counsellor Advocate - Child, Youth and Family
- Counsellor Advocate - Adult and Family
About you
To be successful in this role, you will meet the following key selection criteria:
- hold a degree in psychology, social work, counselling or relevant discipline
- be experienced in conducting comprehensive psychosocial and risk assessments and providing therapeutic interventions and group work
- be experienced in working systemically by advocating on behalf of clients with a range of sectors including health, education, welfare, government and legal
- have demonstrated understanding of trauma informed practice models in working with children, young people, adults and families of a refugee background
- be a highly organised professional who maintains quality and timely client health records and has experience in preparing high quality client reports for multiple settings such as: medical, allied health government and legal bodies
- demonstrate a positive, creative, and collaborative approach

Salary and Benefits
We offer a gross annual salary of up to $101,250, plus 17.5% leave loading and 10.5% superannuation. Additional benefits include salary packaging up to $18,550.
