Their culture, teamwork and consultative approach are key to their company’s success and our high rate of staff retention. **Your new role** They are looking a Payroll Officer on an initial 6 month fixed-term contract based in our head office in North Sydney. This could very well turn into a permanent role for the right person The primary purpose of this position is to create value for the business through providing effective and efficient payroll administration service for accurate and timely processing of the company’s payroll for Monthly & Weekly paid employees. The role involves working closely and collaboratively with broader Finance team, Human Resources, as well as site-based roles. - Statutory payroll & admin processes - Managing leave accruals and reporting - Technical knowledge: Understand and maintain knowledge of all relevant legislation & procedural requirements: interpretation of awards/agreements; SAP knowledge; ATO regulations etc - Reconciliation: Assist with the calculation, payment and reconciliation of superannuation, Uplus, ACIRT, payroll tax and PAYG tax - Ensure that reporting requirements are followed thoroughly, transparently and in a timely manner - Ensure the highest standard of compliance - To ensure that the overall payroll operations run efficiently **What you'll need to succeed** - In-depth understanding of Payroll procedures, laws, taxes, insurances, and best practice. - Excellent working experience of Award interpretation - EBA - Working knowledge of organisations applicable financial practices and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of state and federal rules and regulations. - Computer proficiency in industry relevant software, including Payroll software, T&A software and Microsoft Office Suite; JobPac experience would be highly desirable **What you'll get in return** - Work from home flexibility - Joining is a top tier business well-known for creating a workplace that feels like a family company - A strong corporate identity that will give you an opportunity to develop your career in the future. - Clear focus on delivering numerous projects in the Sydney Metro area. - Here is an opportunity where you can grow within a business that rewards people who want to be future leaders and are driven by the organisation’s values on each of their projects. - There aren’t many times in your career where you can honestly say, "I am working for the best" **What you need to do now** If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career. 2808743
