Metro Medical Centre is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our expanding team

We are a well established Medical practice aiming to provide patient centred holistic care. We deliver primary preventions through evidence based medicine. With our goal to provide our best patient experience. We're looking for reception staff who have strong communication skills, great customer care, and are responsible.

Your role will involve providing administrative support to the practice, which includes:

- Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner within 5 rings.
- Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically.
- Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner.
- Liaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staff.
- Make appointments.
- Fax, Scan, and file documents.
- Bill patients and receipt moneys
- Undertake Banking procedures.
- Operate all aspects of EFTOS machine.
- Handling of cash, EFTPOS, and other payments
- Prepare documents for mail-out.
- Open, scan and import documents.
- Type documents as required with a high level of accuracy.
- Clean consulting rooms in between sessions
- Ensure the practice building and rooms are clean, tidy and accessible always.
- Monitor stationery and/or clinical supply levels and inform appropriate staff when an order is always required to maintain a working supply.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
- Contribute equitably to maintaining the cleanliness of the practice.
- Maintain practice dress standards.
- Any other administrative duties as directed by Practice Manager/Snr receptionist or Directors/Principal Doctors.
- Participate in the practice risk management and quality improvement processes.
- Reporting to Practice Manager

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $23.50 - $38.63 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
