In this Perth-based role, you’ll work with our national Mine Water team as a Junior Hydrogeologist to support the team as they undertake hydrogeological assessments and successfully manage and contribute to projects with a hydrogeological focus.
Our Mining team helps clients optimise performance, boost profitability, and operate responsibly. We have a comprehensive understanding of the mining industry and current issues including decarbonisation and understand future ready strategies are critical to countering these issues, capitalising on opportunities, and adding value to businesses.
**What you’ll do**:
- Coordinate design and documentation with other engineering services and with other team members
- Carry out assigned project and design work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards
- Prepare reports for clients on matters relating to hydrogeology
- Communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
- Undertake hydrogeological assessments including the interpretation of data, site investigation planning and coordination, conceptualisation, and reporting.
- Potential to undertake field work.
- Provide technical input into groundwater investigations, management, and impact assessments.
- Developing groundwater models
- Drafting technical reports
- Drive innovation in our practice with new techniques, workflows, and ideas.
**About you**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geosciences
- Excellent technical report writing and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communications abilities.
- Experience delivering hydrogeological investigations is preferred.
- Exposure to a diverse range of groundwater modelling software and calibration utilities is preferred
- Experience using GIS and other software to visualise data and model outputs.
