**Job Description**:
As an Underwriter in our Group Underwriting team you will provide TAL’s partners and members with quality underwriting services coupled with excellent customer service to ensure the best possible member experience.

**What will you be responsible for?**
- Communicating openly to engage customers, peers, members and funds using a variety of communication strategies (face to face, written, telephone and presentations)
- Contributing to a proactive, consistent customer experience across the underwriting team, identifying customer issues and opportunities to resolve them
- Enthusiastically collaborating with other teams and colleagues continuing to build an inspiring and engaged high-performance culture

**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Up to 5 years underwriting experience including previous underwriting authority limits, preferably within Group Underwriting within Life Insurance
- A comprehensive understanding of the life insurance industry
- Good working knowledge of professional standards and codes
- Strong medical, financial and systems knowledge
- Ability to work autonomously and with high attention to detail
- Proven ability to think innovatively and challenge the status quo
- Enjoy collaboration and maintaining relationships across the business.
