**About the role**
Reporting to and working in close coordination with the Head of Corporate Banking, we are currently looking for an Associate to join our highly regarded Corporate Banking team located in our Melbourne office.
This role will see you working closely with and supporting the relevant Relationship Managers / Senior Bankers with a range of client and transaction focussed activity encompassing relationship management, credit, and documentation processes for existing customers; contributing to deal structuring and delivery of new transactions; and communication of food and agribusiness industry insights from Rabobank’s Research team to the customer base.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities include, but are not limited to working with the RM/SRB team on:
- Developing and strengthening existing customer relationships to enhance Rabobank’s customer value proposition.
- Active deal team involvement in the management of ongoing credit assessment and legal documentations processes for their customer portfolio.
- Working with transaction deal teams on capital structure, working capital and risk management opportunities.
- Preparing client and prospect pitches in partnership with relevant RM / SRB deal team.
- Developing effective relationships with the RM/SRB team, Product partners, Credit teams, Compliance teams and stakeholders in other divisions locally and globally. Ability to build and maintain networks with clients and the broader finance industry is also a desired attribute.
**What we are looking for**
- Experience in a corporate/institutional banking environment preferably with experience, knowledge and exposure to relationship management and credit assessment processes and requirements.
- Excellent financial modelling and reporting writing skills, as well as effective communication skills and have a collegial engagement approach.
- Have a strong affinity with food and Agri sector and desire to keep growing and developing your knowledge base and insights would be highly favourable as will the ability to listen to and understand the needs of customers, and to be able to work collaboratively within cross functional team environment.
