Manufacturing / Warehouse Worker

**North-Side Location**

The **Cardboard Box Shop**, a Family Owned and run business, is currently looking for a reliable and efficient

**Manufacturing - **Machine Operator/Warehouse Worker** for our busy warehouse located in Kedron.

You will be required to perform general warehouse duties, run and maintain machinery, clean areas, drive forklift (licence required) packing of pallets, unloading containers, and more as required.

You will need to be physically fit as there is some shared lifting involved. Full training provided.

To perform effectively in this position, we are seeking applicants with the following skills, abilities and qualifications.

**Manufacturing Warehouse Position Responsibilities include**:

- Experience or knowledge of warehousing and maintenance operations
- Proven ability to run machinery for carton manufacturing or similar
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Skills and ability to manage workload, _ask for help when needed_.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook. Word, Excel.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S and a strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent time management, prioritizing skills and communication skills.
- High focus on quality, productivity and attention to detail
- Motivated, pro-active and reliable
- Knowledge of metric and imperial measurements is an advantage.
- Your own transport to and from work
- Must be honest, reliable, possess attention to detail and be willing and able to work individually and in a team environment. Friendly personality and good interpersonal skills
- A good sense of humor
- Current C class driver's license and Current Forklift License _(no exceptions)_ (LF)
- _Current First Aid Certificate an advantage_

**Trial Period up to 3 months.**

*Hours: 7am to 3.30pm, negotiable for right person.

This is a Casual Full-Time Position 5 days a week.* 38 hours a week.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
Duties include:

- Running of Carton Manufacturing Machinery, **Experience is an advantage for the right person. Training is provided.
- Warehousing and maintenance of machines, tools and equipment.
- Forklift driving, Warehouse upkeep, housekeeping skills
- Container unloading Picking & packing (shared heavy lifting)
- Physically capable of performing manual lifting tasks (up to 25 kg).
- The ability to be willing to work in a variety of areas in the business.
- Fluro Shirt and Appropriate Footwear is required.

**Qualifications and Skills**
Experience or knowledge of overseeing warehousing and maintenance operations
Machinery Operation an advantage, especially carton manufacturing.
Current C class driver's license and forklift license (LF)
Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook. Word, Excel.
First Aid Certificate would be highly beneficial.

Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S and a strong commitment to safety.
Excellent time management, prioritizing skills and communication skills.
Knowledge of metric and imperial measurements is an advantage.
