**Your new company**
You will be joining a well-known NFP organisation as an Accounts Receivable Officer, as part of a company that gives back to the community. This organisation is based in the heart of the CBD, and they are passionate about helping people.
**Your new role**
Reporting into the Accounts Supervisor, you will be working as part of a team of 3 in receivables, across a wider finance team of experienced accountants. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing invoices and bank journals
- Processing direct debits, credit card and cheque payments
- Allocating payments and daily cash receipting
- Dealing with bulk payments from NDIS
- Assisting individuals with payment queries in an empathetic manner
- Reconciliations using Excel and Great Plains
- Matching and coding of incoming payments to ledger
- Investigating discrepancies proactively
- Maintaining compliance
- Proactively seeking to improve processes
**What you'll need to succeed**
You'll have a strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and proven experience of at least 2 years in a similar role. You will have strong Excel skills, particularly Vlookups, and have experience reconciling accounts to a high level with strong attention to detail. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to successfully navigate calls with customers. Experience with Great Plains system would be highly desirable but not essential.
**What you'll get in return**
You will be given a 6 month contract with very strong opportunity to move into a permanent role. The salary is $70-75k + super, with hybrid working, flexible start/finish times as well as salary packaging on offer. You will be well-supported and will have the chance to take responsibility to learn and grow in a small and friendly team. Unlike many AR roles, this position is focused on quality and care rather than collections and chasing overdue debtors.
