Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Shoulder Biomechanics to join School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, Faculty of Health, Academic Division.

The School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences includes the disciplines of sports and exercise science, nutrition and dietetics, and health and physical education. The School offers bachelor degrees in each of the discipline areas as well as postgraduate study at Masters (research), MPhil, and PhD levels. The School has a strong research culture with direct collaborations with The Australian Research Council Training Centre for Joint Biomechanics (ITTC-JB). This Centre conducts applied research into Joint Biomechanics and will provide advances required to transform personalised surgical treatment of joints through integrated technologies for pre-surgical planning and decision making, computer simulation systems and robot simulators for surgical training and medical device assessment, and post-surgical assessment tools.

You will demonstrate:
- Completion of a PhD qualification in Biomechanics or closely related field with extensive experience in 3D motion and EMG analysis of the shoulder and upper limb movements.
- Demonstrated academic research experience in biomechanics and movement control with emphasis on the neuromusculoskeletal system as evidenced by publications in high quality research journals and conferences.
- Demonstrated experience in rehabilitation of shoulder and upper limb movement.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and proactively as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-institution research team, as well as proven ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Proven ability to use initiative and contribute new ideas to the research of biomechanics, along with a demonstrated adherence to ethical standards in research confidentiality.
