About the Role

We have a great opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our AGL Macquarie Finance team.

As the Finance Business Partner you will report to the Finance Manager, Operations supporting our AGL Macquarie site. You will provide business partnering, management and financial accounting including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions.

Working closely with our site-based stakeholders you will be analysing financial and operational information along with providing advice and accounting services to assist Management to make informed decisions in relation to the operation of the site.

What you’ll be doing:
- Month-end accounting and reporting processes- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, five-year plans and monthly forecasts- Monitor actual capital/maintenance expenditure and analyse, investigate and report on variances, initiating corrective action where necessary- FTE modelling and payroll accounting- Update and manage key operational drivers including reconciliation- GST reporting and Cashflow analysis- Assist in delivery of operational and improvement projects- AGLM and Group Operations Reporting Functions are complete per timetable- Provide advice on the correct accounting treatment for expenses, capital expenditure and revenue- Prepare operational reports/dashboard for Senior Management and Team Leaders- Evaluate reporting tools and information requirements in particular works management

About you:
Key to your success in this role is your solid operational accounting and finance experience along with being a strong communicator able to confidently collaborate with a range a stakeholders.

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline- CA/CPA qualifications (or working towards)- Relevant practical experience in an accounting level role in similar or related businesses- Applied skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint-
- Demonstrated superior analytical and conceptual skills- Proven experience in handling multiple responsibilities and meeting strict deadlines- Professional presentation and interpersonal skills- Motivated, self-starter with flexible and collaborative work style
