**About our client**
Our client is a Chemical Manufacturing business. They are looking for an experienced Inventory controller to join their growing business.

**About the Inventory Controller Role**

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be responsible for all things inventory, from cycle counts of finished goods and raw materials to investigating discrepancies and using internal processes to identify and overcome any issues. There will be continual training and support from senior management and you will have exposure to all aspects of the business.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting information for customer and site capacity planning
- Monitor and report on inventory records, focusing on, damaged stock levels, credit returns and stock adjustments
- Analyse inventory records to determine the demand of stock to ensure the appropriate stock levels are maintained in consultation with the customer
- Monitor inventory accuracy by conducting regular physical inventories or through cycle counting
- Proactively solve inventory problems and provide timely resolution to ensure mínimal impact to the customer
- Ensure all orders are checked before they are dispatched
- Full stock management, from investigation of inventory discrepancies, conducting and coordinating cycle counts, and reporting stock levels to management.
- Providing support to the warehouse team and the wider team as required.

**Required Skills**:

- Good time management skills
- Inventory life cycle management.
- Cycle counting, stock taking & inventory accuracy management.
- New item creation.
- Driving our goals on Safety, Quality, Speed, Cost, and our People; and
- Providing support to the warehouse team and the wider team as required.
- Previous experience in warehousing/logistics with demonstrated understanding of inventory management procedures i.e., cycle counting, and stock takes.

**About the Production Planner Role**

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the Operations Team through scheduling, planning and releasing production. Furthermore, the role will assist with the analytical analysis of labour requirements as necessary. Specific functions include:

- Coordinating the release of daily production accurately and efficiently in consultation with site operations, customer service and purchasing.
- Liaising with the purchasing team to ensure raw materials are available to meet production demand.
- Effectively communicating to the wider team on any shortfalls, to ensure these are minimised and customers are notified as appropriate.
- Assist with labour management initiatives including operations run sheet analysis and reporting.
- Providing accurate production reports on a periodic basis.

**Required Skills**:

- Previous production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong excel skills
- Ability to work independently
