**What you’ll deliver with us**

As our
**Principal Architect in the Retail space,** you’ll be responsible for the development and implementation of IT blueprints and roadmaps that provide the enterprise with a common vision of our future state architecture.

You will communicate with both external (e.g., solution vendors) and internal (e.g., business GMs) parties to create future state architecture views that are aligned with the AP strategic intent, and ensure that programs and projects are appropriately aligned to the

blueprints and roadmaps.

The Principal Architect will also be responsible for coordinating and orchestrating architecture activity and deliverables to meet the demands and expectations of a specific business unit.
**In this role, the key business unit is Retail.**

In this role, you will be responsible for representing the business portfolio needs into all group architecture functions, meetings and governance, and for providing enterprise level guidance and governance back to the business portfolio function. Additionally, you will be a key stakeholder for ongoing technology strategy work, and will be responsible for understanding and communication of the strategy within your business portfolio, and for providing business context, guidance and advice of business needs and priorities back into the

enterprise-wide technology strategy.

You will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Australia Post Group technology strategy within your portfolio and development of architecture in order to enable your business portfolio to achieve their strategic goals and objectives, aligned to enterprise wide capabilities and priorities. This includes the creation of strategies, principles, reference architectures and roadmaps that provide a common vision of the future state.

**In this role you will have 5-6 direct reports.**

**You’ll need**
- Domain or principal architecture experience of a large domain in an ASX200 listed or equivalent global organisation.
- Experience within an IT transformation project or large IT modernisation program.
- Confident to lead work within a technology strategy definition program, understanding & balancing business & technology requirements.
- Background in corporate technology, large field workforces, complex services and products environments would be beneficial.
- Experience working with extended teams including those outside of direct reporting structures.
- Ability to define value clearly and show how business outcomes will be achieved.
- Natural curiosity demonstrated by knowledge of technology trends and a desire to maintain currency of knowledge.
- Exceptional collaboration skills, ability to both work as part of a team and lead a team in different environments.
- Intuitive team building, relationship management, coaching and mentoring skills.
- Proven experience delivering complex architectures for major projects to successful outcomes.
- Previously led architecture team in a transformational environment interacting with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Experience in the Retail space will be beneficial.
