The TGA is seeking a highly motivated EL1 - GMP Assistant Director to join the GMP Clearance section within the Manufacturing Quality Branch.
This position plays a crucial role in the regulation of therapeutic goods in Australia by managing a team of GMP assessment staff performing evaluations of overseas manufacturers ensuring that medicinal products supplied to Australia are manufactured to internationally recognised quality standards.
These GMP assessments are performed across the entire spectrum of medicinal products regulated by the TGA including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), vaccines, chemical and biological prescription medicines as well as over-the-counter and listed medicines providing a rare opportunity to expand your knowledge in medicines regulation.
We engage with international regulatory authorities and evaluate their equivalency and the acceptability of overseas GMP standards within the Australian regulatory framework. We participate in various domestic & international forums engaging with a broad range of government, industry and international regulatory stakeholders to support the broader goals of the TGA.
**Highly Desirable Qualifications**
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, pharmacy or engineering from an Australian tertiary institute or equivalent overseas qualification.
