Safety Coordinator

Rozelle, NSW, AU, 2039**Safety Coordinator**:
John Holland CPB Contractors (JHCPB) is delivering the $4.6bn Rozelle Interchange and Western Harbour Tunnel Southern Works construction projects.

Rozelle Interchange is an underground motorway that will provide connectivity under Sydney’s vibrant Inner West and create the Rozelle Parklands, close to 10 hectares of new green space.

We are seeking an experienced **Safety Coordinator **to join the Rozelle Interchange Team. The position will report to the Senior Safety Advisor.

**The role**:
The role will incorporate a variety of responsibilities, including:

- Ensure regular effective consultation with workers, subcontractors and other relevant stakeholders
- Participate in regular toolboxes in the relevant fields to share learnings to the wider team
- Maintain knowledge of applicable legislative and client requirements, including Government regulations, policies and standards
- Contribute to processes and controls for materials management in conjunction with delivery staff, including goods in/out inspection, storage and handling
- Conduct regular site inspections with appropriate discipline leads to ensure work interfaces are managed and remain compliant
- Assist HSEQ Advisors to ensure accurate reporting on your area’s performance to your line manager as and when required

**Skills and Experience**:

- Cert IV in Safety, bachelor’s degree will be highly regarded
- 2 plus years HSEQ experience within the Construction Industry
- Well versed with HSEQ management systems, planning techniques and tools
- Ability to conduct and interpret audits and reviews
