**About the Role**

Within the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator’s (NHVR) Data and Technology division, the Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the NHVR’s hardware, software and networks from theft, loss or unauthorised access.

At a high level, you will conduct the analysis of systems and undertake threat-hunting and penetration testing. You will be responsible for the reassessment of vendors and ensure they are upholding their contractual obligations.

This is a full time, permanent position based in Newstead’s vibrant Gasworks’ precinct, close to transport, cafes and EOT facilities.

**About You**

With a minimum of three years’ in a Cyber Security role, you will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of past, present and future technologies and have experience with firewalls and framework perimeter devices.

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, or position-related qualifications such as Certificate 4 in Business (Cyber Security) or ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate, will be highly regarded.

With strong communication skills, you will have experience working with internal stakeholders and vendors. You will be able to effectively engage in cross-communication and assist with the interpretation of “tech-talk”.

You will possess good analytical skills surrounding infrastructure and be able to demonstrate your understanding of protocols and exploitations across various services, as well as the full scope of work that is required for external engagement.
