
Medical Practice Manager

Job Summary:
As a Medical Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administrative functions of a medical practice or healthcare facility. Your role will involve managing staff, implementing efficient processes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals and work closely with the executive team to optimize the practice's performance, achieve financial goals, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
**Responsibilities**:
Provide leadership and strategic direction to the medical practice, ensuring the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
Manage and supervise the administrative staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize workflow, enhance efficiency, and maintain quality standards.
Oversee the financial aspects of the practice, including budgeting, billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and guidelines, including HIPAA, OSHA, and relevant legal requirements.
Coordinate and collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to facilitate seamless patient care delivery.
Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient record-keeping practices.
Manage patient scheduling, registration, and appointment processes to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.
Implement patient satisfaction initiatives, gather patient feedback, and address concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development opportunities for staff.
Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes impacting medical practices, and implement relevant changes as necessary.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new patients and retain existing ones.
Participate in strategic planning and business development activities to drive growth and expand the practice's services.
Liaise with insurance providers, third-party vendors, and healthcare organizations to ensure smooth operations and maximize revenue opportunities.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
Proven experience in a managerial role within a medical practice or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and medical billing/coding practices.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and professionally.
Sound financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, manage budgets, and make informed decisions.
Proficient in using office productivity software, such as Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to adapt to changing healthcare landscapes, technology advancements, and evolving industry trends.
Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies to promote the practice and enhance patient acquisition and retention.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive patient information.
**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
