We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Youth Worker Programs and Development to join our team. Located on the lower North Shore, our leafy suburbs have a vibrant and diverse village atmosphere. If you are open to fresh ideas, committed to progressing new initiatives and driven to provide the very best service to our community, we want to hear from you. **About the Role** You will be responsible for developing and delivering programs and projects to address the recreational, social and psychological needs of young people at Synergy Youth Centre and in the Lane Cove Municipality. This position works closely with the Youth Team and other stakeholders to deliver programs and activities that are relevant and responsive to the identified needs of young people. Most importantly is the provision of professional supervision to young people attending the youth centre and participating in programs and services delivered by the Youth Team. **About You** - Tertiary qualifications in youth work, social sciences or relevant field, or equivalent qualifications combined with experience. - A current ‘Paid Worker - Working with Children Check' clearance (NSW). - Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering programs for, and supervision of, young people. - Demonstrated ability to build and sustain professional relationships with young people in accordance with relevant Council policies and legislation. - Demonstrated understanding of mandatory reporting requirements. - Good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written. **What we Offer** We hire great people with a wide variety of skills, experience and backgrounds maintaining always that inclusion and diversity lie at the heart of what we do.
