**About the role**
Reporting to the HR Manager, who at one time was a 1300apprentice trainee, you will work with a small team to deliver efficient, confidential, and professional HR and administrative support to a team of 80 dedicated carers. Adaptability, and willingness to learn and multitask in a busy environment is a must for this role.
As an HR Trainee, you will learn all elements of the employee lifecycle services, assisting with, and coordinating the on-boarding & off-boarding processes for employees, processing documentation, maintaining compliance for work related checks and licences, ad-hoc reporting, and data entry.
**Some of what you will learn**:
- To administer a high standard of HR-related documentation (i.e., contracts, exit letters, statements of service, position descriptions etc)
- How to seamlessly onboard new team members
- Manage the shared HR inbox and distribute communications to relevant persons
- Ensure the HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
- Monitoring and ensure ongoing compliance with all work-related checks and licences (i.e. working with children checks, national police checks, drivers licences etc)
- How to review, develop and implement staff development and performance management programs, systems and processes
- Work collaboratively to develop and ensure that P&P process manuals are kept up to date
- Provide support as required to Directors and Staff in a wide range of activities, including relief reception duties.
- Ho to administer and maintain a high level of accuracy with the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Provide assistance to both staff and managers in a wide range of activities including relief reception duties.
- Data collection and report management
- How to represent the opportunities available in the business at careers exhibitions
**About you**
- A passion to become an HR professional.

- Strong excellent administration skills with confidential information, using judgement, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Posses strong attention to detail
- Have good communication skills with a respectful, clear telephone manner.
- Intermediate computer skills with capability in outlook and MS Office,
- Ability to work with change and take on new tasks that will improve efficiency and customer service levels.
- Above all you will possess a passion and empathy for people and a desire to help and support others.
