**About this role**:
Our client is a successful architecture practice with significant presence in a number of sectors including education, seniors living, health and community projects. Due to continued growth, a new role of Operations Manager has been created to work alongside the senior partners to manage a variety of company initiatives and strategies, and provide leadership to the business support team. This is a great opportunity for as aspiring leader to join an existing cohesive team and contribute to the evolution of a practice.
 **Key Responsibilities**:
- Make policy, planning, and strategy decisions and recommendations to Practice partners. Support implementation and delivery. Provide inspired leadership for the Business Support Team and ensure the team is aligned with practice direction and values
- Oversee project delivery and timelines within Business Support Team - Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures. Oversee staff on-boarding process
- Help promote a company culture that encourages high morale. Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing. Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company. Support and build client and partner organization relationships - Support staff communication with the management team. Oversee Practice events and cultural initiatives. - Oversee practice operations strategy & direction, inc. implementation of key practice projects - Oversee & support practice wide resourcing, ensuring adequate project forecasting & team planning occur to achieve required commercial outcomes. Support operational budgeting, reporting, planning & auditing. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve practice efficiency
- Ensure the practice's compliance with regulatory requirements and insurances - Manage facilities & vendors to ensure smooth office operations - Review and execute contracts
- Manage key relationships with practice consultants & partners e.g. IT & BIM consultant.
 **Skills + Experience**:
- Demonstrated experience managing the operations of a firm or associated experience directly within architecture, building or design field. - Experience in project resourcing
- Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy
- Goal-driven leader with effective management skills
- Excellent planning and oganizational abilities and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to connect with a variety of people building trusting relationships
- Encouraging and positive personality with a dedication to helping others develop and succeed
- Advaced skills in MS Office, working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Synergy software experience is highly favourable, however not essential
