**About the Opportunity**:
We are seeking an experienced **Specification Consultant** to join our team in **Willawong, Brisbane**, and manage activities related to current and potential key accounts within the Powder Coatings sector. This includes Architects, Fabricators, Specifiers, and Applicators, with a primary focus on project specification. The role involves adhering to AkzoNobel's sales policies and procedures, aiming to drive sustained profit and growth for the Powder business. The role involves significant interaction and overlap with the sales and marketing teams.

As a Specifications Consultant, you'll foster a culture of safety, actively supporting safety practices and initiatives aligned with Akzo Nobel's HS&E programs. Your commitment to quality-based behaviour will be the cornerstone of our success, helping us not only meet but exceed our HS&E targets.
- Working closely with the business development and Specifications Manager to develop and implement a dynamic specification plan. This plan isn't just a document; it's a roadmap to expanding market share and surpassing specification budget goals. Your contributions will be seamlessly integrated into individual MyP&D objectives, empowering you to make a real impact.
- Are you known for your proactive nature? You'll have the chance to showcase it by actively seeking out new projects that involve specifying a diverse range of Interpon products. Your forward-thinking approach will drive our growth.
- Track and maintain data on the project tracking databases from the initial drawings to project completion from drawing to completion.
- Taking ownership of producing insightful monthly regional specification reports
- Maintain and expand your network of key contacts within the specification community across the region to maximise new specification opportunities among applicators, improve market share, and profitability.

- Gain a comprehensive understanding of project channel management, covering architects, builders, fabricators, and applicators.
- Gather market intelligence and assess opportunities for the Powder Coating business within the region, in accordance with AkzoNobel's business principles.
- Craft and execute key client strategies for the key specification customers, and ensure these strategies are reviewed and approved by the State Sales Manager, so these plans will not only effectively manage customer relationships but also uncover exciting growth opportunities.
- Develop strategies to actively promote the Interpon Powder Coating brand to existing, new, and potential customers. Align these strategies with the Marketing Strategy in the Business Plan to contribute to market share growth and profitability.
- Establish and nurture valuable customer relationships within the region. Your ability to connect will not only boost our market share but also enhance profitability.
**What We're Looking For**:
- Previous hands-on Industrial Sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully engaging with architects and/or specifiers.
- Understanding of Powder market and its associated products, and knowledge of market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities is a definite advantage.
- Effective customer relationship management, with the ability to understand and meet the needs of these stakeholders is crucial to this role.
- A results-oriented mindset, always striving to meet and exceed objectives and targets.
- A current driver's license, as the role may involve travel to various locations within the region.
