We’re now looking for a skilled **Mobile Repair Expert** to join our team — someone who takes pride in doing things properly and can deliver quality work on-site at customer locations.

The Role

You’ll operate from a fully equipped mobile service unit, carrying out high-quality repairs, maintenance, and fabrication to truck and trailer bodies and refrigeration systems. This role keeps our clients’ fleets operational, compliant, and safe — minimising downtime and upholding Cooler’s standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- **On-Site Repairs**: Perform structural, mechanical, and panel repairs on truck, trailer, and van bodies at customer depots and work sites.
- **Diagnostics & Assessment**: Inspect, diagnose, and recommend effective repair solutions for vehicle bodies, doors, frames, and refrigeration systems.
- **Fabrication & Welding**: Complete aluminium and steel welding (MIG/TIG) and fabrication to rebuild, reinforce, or modify body structures.
- **Preventative Maintenance**: Conduct service checks, adjustments, and component replacements to ensure reliability and compliance.
- **Customer Service**: Communicate professionally with fleet managers and operators, explaining work completed and upcoming needs clearly.
- **Documentation**: Complete accurate digital job cards, service reports, and photo records using our tablet-based system.
- **Safety & Compliance**: Work safely and responsibly in the field, adhering to Cooler’s WHS procedures, NHVR standards, and relevant Australian regulations.
- **Vehicle & Equipment Care**: Maintain your mobile service unit, tools, and consumables to a high standard of readiness and presentation.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in field or mobile repair services, ideally within the transport or refrigeration industry.
- Competent in welding, fabrication, and structural/mechanical repair.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently with mínimal supervision.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Current Driver’s Licence (MC preferred).
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Trade qualification in Motor Body Building, Panel Beating (Heavy Vehicle) or similar, is advantageous.

Work Conditions
- Field-based role servicing Brisbane and surrounding regions.
- Local travel to fleet depots and client sites.
- Manual handling, power tool use, and outdoor work in varying conditions.
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work for urgent repairs

Pay: $35.00 - $47.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
