A newly created opportunity exists to join the Infinite team as a full time Assistant Payroll Manager. Supporting and reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will become part of the backbone of our existing Payroll team and will work closely with them to provide the very best Payroll service across the organisation. This is a great opportunity to develop a broad range of supervisory and training skills, for an outcome-focused individual who is looking for a challenge
- Review payroll reports to aid in reducing fortnightly payroll risk.
- Review and maintain an internal control environment across payroll data from HR to payroll to accounting.
- Support the timely preparation and payment of payroll including peer review and signoff of all checklists.
- Run end to end payroll as required to support team to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
- Train staff as per the Payroll Manager’s training plan to ensure adequate cover always exists in the department for all tasks.
- Review updates to payroll procedures with the Payroll & Compliance Officer to use as a training tool and for cover should it be required.
- End to end payroll experience is a must.

- Savvy skills with software systems, including Microsoft excel.
- Exceptional data entry skills with accuracy.

- Excellent time management with ability to juggle multiple competing priorities in tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated a consultative approach to problem solving, working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Emotional intelligence and be a great team player.
