**About the Role**:
We are looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join the Safety team within one of our infrastructure projects in the Central CBD. As A Safety Advisor, keeping people safe is your bread and butter. You get your kicks out of knowing our team went home the same way they came to work. You will take responsibility of the safety culture across the project and you will work closely with our team to ensure all safety matters are coordinated on site. The works are conducted 24 hours per day so this role will initially be a permanent Night Shift role working on a major iconic piece of infrastructure in central Sydney.

**Key Functions will include**:

- Assist with the running of the Workplace, Health and Safety function under general supervision and implement safety practices, systems and procedures within a complex brownfield construction environment
- Supporting the implementing of the Project's WHS management plans, systems and procedures
- Developing and reviewing SWMS and Safe Work Instruction in line with legislative and project requirements
- Ability to liaise with Clients and resolve complex safety issues associated with working around and on rail infrastructure on site and promote positive safety culture during such interactions
- Conducting regular site inspections, reviews and audits
- Providing guidance and safety support to the project delivery team
- Conducting inductions, toolbox and prestart talks as required
- Reporting site safety performance in-line with Project WHS management systems
- Completing incident reporting and investigation
- Conduct return to work coordinator activities
- Ideally 2+ years' experience in a similar role
- Experience working on major/large infrastructure projects preferred
- Ability to interpret project related documents, preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation
- Ability to build relationships and rapport with people at all levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective in technical problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work within a team or autonomously
- Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to manage stress and work-load under pressure
- Able to handle several tasks at once and meet multiple deadlines
- Must be available to work night shift and some weekends as required due to central CBD location
