The purpose of this role is work in collaboration and support with the Procurement Manager to produce a better and improved Warehousing system.

From Warehousing; Distribution and Receivals, this new role requires you to draw on your exceptional Warehouse and Logistics background to ensure improved operations that deliver products of maximum quality, a high performing team and ultimately the efficient operations in production areas.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Exceptional Leadership**: Be an integral part of the team by guiding and training warehouse staff, fostering problem solving and solutions within a busy manufacturing warehouse environment
- **Coordinate to plans**: Coordinate and manage labour requirements in line with process schedules
- **Safety First Workplace**: Promote, Practice and Lead a safe workplace by identifying, reporting & controlling risks and hazards
- **HACCP Management**: Ensure staff and branch work practices comply with all company/ legislative policies and procedures (including OH&S and HACCP guidelines)
- **Identify** issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
- **Manage**: all aspects of incoming goods receival and dispatch of finished goods/WIP ingredients
- **Maintaining organisation**, cleanliness and management of the warehouse, chillers, loading docks, yard and associated areas.
- Ensure that all orders are **picked, checked, and loaded** by staff with high levels of accuracy
- **Monitor** production outputs according to dispatch requirements
- Develop and maintain a **FIFO system** for all ingredients, packaging, and all stored items.
- Maintaining all warehouse plant equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, vans) etc to ensure they are safe, well maintained and adhere to OH&S requirements.
- Develop and maintain a safe and sustainable traffic management system in conjunction with all stakeholders.
- **Prioritising good housekeeping** to maintain the warehouse in the best possible condition
- **Assist** and work in conjunction with Procurement Manager to manage minimum and maximum quantities to meet production schedules
- Minimise wastage by effective management of **Inventory**:

- Ensure all paperwork and **administrative** requirements are adhered to with high levels of accuracy

**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence the team and drive change (team consists of 8+ staff)
- Relevant Qualifications: Warehouse and Logistics Management (preferred but not compulsory)
- Thorough knowledge of FIFO System and HACCP principles and practices
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), decision making and negotiation skills with various parties
- Intermediate PC skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to manage work autonomously and in a team within an Office and Warehouse floor environment
- Flexibility and Responsiveness - some weekend and on
- call work is required during peak seasons
