Advanced Buildings are an established construction and restoration business with offices Nationally in VIC, NSW, the ACT and QLD. We are one of Australia's most trusted and experienced Insurance Building and Repair providers and we specialise in Insurance Repair and Strata work involving large and technical projects. We have long established relationships with Australia's major Insurance Companies and Loss Adjusters.

We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join the team in our General Works department in Brisbane. Reporting to the State Manager this role will be responsible for managing the divisional construction branches of Estimation and Supervision ensuring that all work undertaken by Advanced Buildings and Restorations, WH&S obligations are adhered to at all times and that all works are completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner and to promote/stimulate growth in this region.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Ensure that adequate induction and training is provided to enable all construction staff to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently
- Performance management i.e. one on ones, performance discussion reviews and identification and implementation of training deficiencies
- Review of scope of works for job file allocations & allocations of jobs to trade supervisors
- Following up and supporting end of month invoicing and progress claims
- Review and forecast resourcing of the General Works Team, liaise with HR to ensure regions are adequately resourced to meet client's needs
- Arrange and chair regular meetings to provide guidance, training, and improvement outcomes to the team
- Manage, maintain, and obtain high delivery outcomes of key performance indicators
- Work with the safety office to ensure that non-conformances and unsafe work practices are being recorded and initiative corrective action

**As the ideal applicant you will possess**:

- Cert IV in Building and Construction or similar experience
- Experience in the insurance building industry
- Strong Management and Leadership skills
- Risk assessment analysis experience
- Proven track record in a similar role
- Must be prepared to travel where necessary
- A Queensland Drivers Licence
- The ability to work on an 'on call' basis
- Excellent 'people' skills
