About the Role
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the division in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
Ensure the planning and procurement of material and services required by the operation, including vendor development and administration of contracted services in accordance with the hotel policy and procedures.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- monitor the satisfaction of the internal clients of the Hotel in relation to the products and services acquired, maintaining the best levels of quality.
- ensure the Hotel expenses are minimized through the use of effective purchasing and by obtaining the most competitive prices for goods and services
- co-ordinate all product and purchase specification from the various heads of department.
- establish inventory items and levels.
- prepare purchase specifications for food and beverage items in conjunction with the outlets and respective Department Heads.
- ensure every department in the Hotel and receive goods and services as required at the standard required, in a timely manner.
- ensure that all stock is received in accordance with HACCP procedures.
- oversee the receipt of all deliveries to the Hotel making sure all suppliers are HACCP certified and delivers the goods at the correct temperatures in refrigerated vehicles.

Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Finance or Hospitality/Tourism management.
Recent work experience as Purchasing Manager or Assistant Purchasing Manager in larger operation.
Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
