Animal Care Attendant

**Position Overview**:
As an Animal Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care for our pets, encompassing everything from their daily routines to bathing and grooming needs. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with animals, utilising your bathing skills while contributing to a nurturing and secure environment for both dogs and cats.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Attend to kennel upkeep, cleaning, feeding, and exercise routines
- Conduct Dog Wash, Blow Dry, and Nail Clip services with professionalism and to a high standard, assisting the Groomer as needed.
- Uphold Kennel and Salon cleanliness to the highest standards, keeping a sanitary environment.
- Demonstrate excellent animal handling skills with an understanding of various breeds to cater to their specific requirements
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all pets under your care.
- Efficiently handle your responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Proactively anticipate and effectively prepare for the workload of the following day.

**About You**:

- Can confidently manage dogs and cats of various breeds and sizes to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that each task is executed with precision.
- Deliver outstanding dog bathing services, including bathing, blow drying, and nail clipping.
- Has a thorough knowledge of pet breeds to address their specific needs and preferences.
- Ensure the daily needs and routines of our pet guests are diligently met, encompassing feeding, exercise, and overall welfare.
- Showcase remarkable organisational skills, quick learning ability, and a great work ethic.
- Demonstrates appropriate animal handling of pets of different temperaments.
- Thrive within a collaborative team setting, making meaningful contributions to a fast-paced atmosphere while meticulously following instructions.
- Uphold a professional demeanour, particularly during interactions with clients at pick-up and drop-off.

Note that this is an active and physical role, with both indoor and outdoor tasks. Walking, lifting, carrying, bending, crouching, and the ability to safely restrain pets on leads is required.

Our pre-screening process for this role includes a questionnaire, virtual introduction, references, in-person interview, and a 2-3 hour skill assessment.

**Salary**: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
