**JOB DESCRIPTION**
As part of Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) group, you are at the centre of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. Reporting to the Head of Security Services Operational Risk, APAC, ANZ CCOR is seeking an Associate to provide operational risk oversight of the Security Services business in Australia and New Zealand.

Securities Services offers global and direct custody, fund accounting & administration, transfer agency, investment middle office services, depositary services, custody foreign exchange, liquidity management, agency securities lending, collateral services, and depositary receipts. Securities Services is a leading custodian and provider of fund services that is innovating to meet the evolving needs of its asset manager and asset owner clients.

**Job Summary**

Operational Risk Management (ORM) is part of the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) group and we form part of JPMorgan’s Risk Management and Compliance organization. We maintain oversight of the firm’s compliance, conduct and operational risk management activities and are responsible for the design and execution of a comprehensive Risk and Control framework. We are considered a second Line of Defense (LoD) function and proactively manage operational risk to defend the firm against the negative impacts of operational errors.

**Job responsibilities**
- Leveraging the Firmwide CCOR Management Framework to Identify, Measure, Monitor, Manage, Report and Govern Operational Risk for the Security Services business in Australia and New Zealand.
- Understanding and assessing Key and Emerging Risks for the Security Services business in Australia and New Zealand, and also regionally for the business, including staying abreast of industry news and regulatory developments to facilitate proactive risk identification and mitigation.
- Providing oversight to the business’ management of operational risk including reviewing and challenging risks, processes and controls identified by the first LoD and escalating where required.
- Independently assessing operational risks and control environments and raising Issues for the first LoD to remediate where relevant. Assessments are done through quantitative and qualitative means including review of performance against Key Performance Indicators and collaborating with the CCOR Testing team to test the effectiveness of controls.
- Liaising with key stakeholders across first, second and third LoD including communicating the results of any monitoring and testing activities.

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- A bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance or another related field
- Foundational understanding of the Securities Services products, asset management, payments, securities trading or related businesses will be an advantage
- Entry-level external/internal audit, compliance, operational risk consulting, operations/process engineering, or business controls career experience, education/training or certifications
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills with successful track record of completion.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Strong influencing skills and ability to drive change and deliver results.
- Strong team player and ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a fast-paced environment
