**About the role**

Mater Education has an exciting new opportunity for a **Manager Simulation Programs** to join their team. This is a **permanent full-time** role based primarily at Mater’ South Brisbane, however you may also need to travel to other campuses as required.

This role will work as part of the Mater Education’s management team and drives the strategy and operations around the development, implementation and promotion of simulation activities within Mater and beyond, ensuring evidence based educational practice and simulation safety principles are utilised.

The role will report directly to the Director of Learning and Development and work closely with the Clinical Simulation Director and other education managers, to support the development of commercial partnerships, client relationship management and the integration of innovative educational content across Mater Education and the Mater Group

**Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging**

**What you’ll be doing**

As the Manager Simulation Programs, your responsibilities will include:

- Support the Director of Learning and Development and Clinical Simulation Director in developing and implementing strategic and operational plans for Mater Education in line with financial strategies that will ensure growth, budgetary targets and key performance indicators are met
- Oversee the simulation program design and delivery including input into scheduling of courses and staff, supervision of program coordinators and post program evaluation
- Provide operational leadership and management of the education coordinators, simulation coordinators and technicians, to achieve effective, efficient and best practice outcomes
- Develop best practice processes and procedures, with a focus on optimising efficiency and productivity and ensuring they are consistently applied, and timelines/standards are met
- Ensure all simulation activities and services are in alignment with current strategy and business priorities as well as best practice, evidenced based contemporary methodologies and ensure all programs are rigorously evaluated including annual evaluation reports for all programs
- Manage proposal design and delivery of clinical based education programs, and translational simulation services, for both a business to consumer and business to business model
- Manage operational services including input to the budget, equipment and supplies procurement, program registration processes and enquiries, and customer service and experience
- Actively build, develop and manage key strategic partner and customer relationships across Mater Education, Mater and with external clients and organisations to help grow and develop the simulation education programs and services internally and externally to Mater

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification/s in health and/or education, and management
- Simulation qualification
- High level of simulation expertise
- Experience leading simulation teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage the global operational needs of a small organisation, business, department or functional group
- Demonstrated experience in effective cost centre management including meeting financial targets, managing finances including budgets, reconciliations and expenditure analysis
- Marketing and commercial business development skills
- Demonstrated evidence of creative problem-solving, effective collaboration and decision-making skills
- A demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, optimising efficiency and productivity in a team, education excellence and best practice
- Demonstrated ability and experience managing projects, including the ability to manage concurrent projects
- Demonstrated high level skills in written and verbal communication, including negotiation, preparation of formal proposals, business writing, operational plans, reports and correspondence
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a high performing team of diverse professionals
