**About The Role**
Reporting into our Chief Legal & Risk Officer, you’ll be accountable for ensuring Sportsbet deeply understands its compliance obligations and implements controls to manage risks effectively and efficiently, in accordance with pragmatic policies and frameworks. These extend to the policies and frameworks of the Flutter Entertainment Group, a FTSE 100 company.
You will work closely with Legal and Risk SMEs across the business to ensure we are efficient and effective in managing our compliance obligations working closely with the Risk & Assurance function within LRC to identify, assess, mitigate and monitor top enterprise / emerging compliance risks as well as building out a comprehensive end-to-end assurance program.
As Chief Privacy Officer, you will support the business in relation to its privacy obligations, including completion of privacy impact assessments for new initiatives.
**Responsibilities Include**:
- Build and maintain a comprehensive library of compliance obligations relevant to our industry and category.
- Horizon Scanning & Regulatory Change Impact Analysis processes (supporting implementation of regulatory change as appropriate)
- Design and implement processes and reporting on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment for provision to the Sportsbet Board and Senior Management.
- Develop, embed and enhance the Compliance Management Framework, ensuring it aligns with best practice and Flutter Group requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of enhanced or new controls to further manage compliance risk where existing controls are not effective or scalable as the business evolves and grows
- Report on the overall adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment as it relates to compliance risk, developing and using insightful key risk indicators and metrics
- Monitor the progress of compliance management processes as they relate to existing and new projects/activities undertaken by the business
- Support privacy compliance, leading the completion of privacy impact assessments and management of privacy incidents
- Create and implement an effective framework to manage the delivery of Mandatory Compliance Training to Sportsbet employees and contractors
- Drive the selection and implementation of a Governance, Risk & Compliance tool to suit the needs of the business today and into the future.
Please note, this is a 12 month maternity leave contract.
