Due to high demand for our services, we are looking for a Maintenance Fitter.

Key responsibilities

**Machine Isolation and Shutdown**:

- Perform shutdown and isolation of machines and equipment in accordance with safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Ensure all machinery is safely de-energized and prepared for maintenance activities. Assembling equipment and machinery required for blending, mixing, and packaging food supplements, ensuring all components fit correctly and operate efficiently.

**Assembly and Installation**:

- Assemble, install, and align machinery and equipment required for the blending, mixing, and packaging of food supplements.
- Ensure all components are correctly fitted and fully operational, adhering to manufacturing specifications and safety standards.
- Install and maintain compressed air line systems, including pipes and lines used in powder blending and packaging processes, to ensure optimal performance. Operating machinery to process raw materials into finished products.

**Machine Setup and operation**:

- Set, adjust, and operate machinery controls for blending, encapsulating, and packaging processes to meet precise production requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and product quality.
- Prepare and calibrate automation mechanisms to ensure consistent and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment.

**Maintenance and Repair**:

- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on blending, mixing, and packaging machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery faults to ensure continuous production and maintain quality standards.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacements.

**Technical Support**:

- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify potential improvements in equipment performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support and training to operators on the correct use and maintenance of machinery.

**Qualification and Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial machinery, particularly in food processing equipment.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

**Qualifications required**:
Minimum Cert III or higher in mechanical engineering required

**Experience**: At least 3 years of relevant work experience.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
